It’s hard to find real wood furniture, let alone handcrafted in the USA. Our platform bed frames are constructed with poplar wood slats which provide wonderful support and also allows air to flow through and around the latex mattress. When using an innerspring or a rubber mattress, you can place it directly on the slats, without a boxspring. Normal slat spacing is three inches. If you will be using a Futon mattress, consider the Futon Upgrade and receive extra slats which reduce the gaps, creating an almost solid base. All of our platform beds are made from the finest sustainable hardwoods and hand rubbed with Danish oil (you can also request a non-oil finish). Very easy to assemble with concealed connectors that provide a clean look without showing hardware. Simple and classic designs in beautiful wood with high quality craftsmanship made in the USA.
